In the days that followed her 20-year-old daughter Amanda’s suicide in 2010, Sharon’s brother, a high school teacher brought her a brochure from a With Hope Foundation student presentation that had been given at his school. Not long after reading the brochure, Sharon decided to attend the Walk With Hope annual fundraiser and met Annette, the Founder and President of With Hope Foundation. Annette and the community of other survivors of suicide loss and supporters provided Sharon with hope and a renewed strength. Sharon is a strong believer in the message that With Hope Foundation provides young adults and she’s a testimony to the impact the organization has had on so many individuals.

After the sale of their company, Sharon and her husband, Don, founded The Bebout Family Foundation. Her foundation has allowed her to proudly support, sponsor and collaborate with the With Hope Foundation on their shared passion and mission of suicide prevention. Sharon feels privileged to partner with the With Hope Foundation’s team of caring and dedicated individuals to make a life-saving difference in the community.

Sharon shares her story of loss to celebrate how God has brought her through suicide grief, not just as a survivor but as a witness to His love and grace. She believes that with God’s lead in our community, we can be a hope to others.

Sharon and her husband live in Laguna Beach. Her youngest daughter Kelsey is twenty-eight and resides nearby.

With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation is dedicated to suicide prevention through mental health awareness and education in our schools and throughout our communities.
