Rick has been involved in supporting suicide bereavement and healing efforts for many years following the loss of his son, Jawn, to suicide in December 2008. After attending our suicide survivors grief group for two years, Rick felt called to give back and began co-facilitating the group, a role he served in for six years. Through this work, he found continued healing while helping others navigate their own grief journeys.

Rick has recently returned to serve as a facilitator for our online Suicide Bereavement Support Group, where he continues to support individuals and families as they find hope and build a new normal after loss. He finds deep purpose in walking alongside others and witnessing their strength and resilience as they move forward.

Rick is retiring at the end of April after 23 years with Ingersoll Cutting Tools and over 45 years in the machining industry.

He lives in Maple Valley, Washington, with his wife Bev, and has a grown daughter and two grandsons.

With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation is dedicated to suicide prevention through mental health awareness and education in our schools and throughout our communities.
