Kathleen has been involved with the With Hope Foundation since 2010, after attending a grief support group following the loss of her 20-year-old daughter, Elizabeth, to suicide. In the midst of unimaginable loss, she found comfort, understanding, and community through With Hope. Wanting to turn her pain into purpose, she soon became an active volunteer and has faithfully served the organization for the past 14 years.
Over the years, she has supported With Hope in many capacities, working in the office, assisting at events, and helping with various programs. She remains ready to serve wherever there is a need, always guided by the belief that even small acts of goodness can make a meaningful difference. The word “Hope” held deep significance for her daughter during her mental health struggles, making it especially meaningful to be part of a mission focused on prevention and education in schools and communities. She often reflects on a quote her daughter embraced: “I cannot do all the good the world needs, but the world needs all the good I can do.”
She lives a full and grateful life, cherishing time with family and friends, participating in church and volunteer activities, and tending to her garden.
With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation is dedicated to suicide prevention through mental health awareness and education in our schools and throughout our communities.
