Beverly “Bev” Hursh has been a dedicated member of the With Hope community since 2009, following the heartbreaking loss of her son, Jonathan, on December 13, 2008. In the midst of profound grief, Bev found comfort and understanding through the Grief Support Group offered by With Hope. The compassion and support she received during that difficult time became an important part of her healing journey.
After attending the support group for a year or two, she felt called to give back to the organization that had helped her so deeply. She began volunteering in the office, offering her time and care to support other families walking a similar path. In addition, she stepped into a leadership role by managing With Hope's office and helping facilitate the Grief Support Group, providing empathy, encouragement, and hope to those navigating their own loss.
In 2011, Bev further expanded her involvement by helping organize the Annual Walk With Hope, an event dedicated to remembrance, community, and healing. Through her continued commitment and compassionate service, Bev honors Jonathan’s memory while helping others find strength, connection, and hope.
Bev lives in Maple Valley, WA with her husband, Rick and his one adult daughter and 2 grandsons.
With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation is dedicated to suicide prevention through mental health awareness and education in our schools and throughout our communities.
