With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation

Annette is the Founder and President of With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation, which is dedicated to suicide prevention and improving mental health awareness through education in schools and throughout the community.

In 2005, Annette lost her 141/2-year-old daughter, Amber, to suicide. The ripple effect of Amber’s suicide was devastating to the tight knit community of Placentia, CA and surrounding cities.

Through tragic loss and trauma, came a desire to help others. Annette was determined to prevent even one more loss to suicide and With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation was created. The goal was to create a suicide prevention program that would educate, equip, and empower teens, parents, staff and community members in recognizing the risk factors and warning signs for suicide and provide critical crisis intervention for individuals at risk.
With Hope Foundation makes available safeTALK and ASIST* trained speakers, materials, support, and other resources to students, teachers, staff, parents and community members.
Over nearly two decades, the foundation has substantially grown. Under Annette’s leadership, With Hope Foundation continues its mission of suicide prevention. Additionally, the foundation provides bereavement support and resources for individuals who have lost a loved one to suicide.
Annette and her husband, Scott, live on a hobby farm in North Carolina and have two adult sons.
